Make that something into an hour long deep relaxation treatment where you will experience a guided meditation designed to help your body re-energise, your mind slow down and quieten and where you can make changes to reduce the impact of those stresses and strains.
Here’s how it works…..
Where face-to-face treatments are provided Peter uses guided meditation to help you to relax deeply. He will take you an on a journey where your whole body and mind will completely relax and be calm. Depending on your needs the journey you embark on may use elements of mindfulness and can be focussed on specific areas of your body and/or brain activity. Peter will discuss with you beforehand what happens and what to expect.
Our bodies have a number of energy centres called chakras. Each of these centres cover different areas and organs of our body and if they are out of balance then we will feel the effects as pains, aches, tiredness, etc. During the guided meditation Peter will work with your energy centres to help get them into balance again.
As a fundamental part of the treatment Peter will also act as a channel for the healing energy called Reiki. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. The treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
This energy work will help you feel relaxed, more energised and balanced and forms a key part of the treatment.
As part of the treatment clients may want to work on some other issues. Peter uses Neuro Lingustic Programming (NLP) to help you change your behaviour. NLP can be an effective method for fighting feelings of stress and anxiety because it identifies the thought patterns that may be causing the pressure. As soon as these unconscious thought patterns are recognised, they can be challenged. One of the most important ideas underpinning NLP is that the mind and body are closely connected. When exercising for example, people will experience positive mental and physical energy. By improving the way we approach and think about the world, we can improve the health and well-being of our bodies. NLP is well-known for its effectiveness in helping people cope with fears and phobias. Like with anxiety and stress, NLP can reveal the thought process behind the often ‘irrational’ fear. NLP can help to change how a person thinks and feels about what was causing them fear, so that they are no longer afraid. Relationships are based on communication and problems often arise when people are not communicating or expressing how they feel. NLP can help a person become more aware of how they communicate. NLP can also provide relief from their own fears and limitations. The techniques used can help the person break the old habits and beliefs and gain new opportunities. NLP is effective in boosting an individual’s confidence by teaching them how to make decisions based on their dreams, rather than fears.

Coaching includes methods of helping you to improve, develop, learn new skills, find personal success, achieve aims and to manage life change and personal challenges. Coaching commonly addresses attitudes, behaviours, and knowledge, as well as skills, and can also focus on physical and spiritual development too.
